Okay, seeing this is my 3rd pregnancy youd think I would understand this. My last period was on Jan 20 2007. The conception calculators say that the EDC was Feb 3rd 2007. YET, then it says I am 4 weeks and 5 days pregnant! How do I explain this one to my boyfriend who is a wonderful father figure to my other 2 children, and this would be his first child! So by this calculator it says I am 2 weeks further along than I really am? I kind of understand yet I feel as though he wont understand this. Shocked Could anyone explain this to me a little better, or how I can explain this to him to comfort any doubts he may have? Please help.

Blessings~Julie

When you conceived your baby, you were already considered to be 2 weeks pregnant. This is because pregnancy calenders begin on the first day of your last period. This maps out your 40-42 weeks of pregnancy with a definite "start" date.

I hope that makes sense. Good luck, congratulations, and feel free to join us on the Pregnancy boards!
