Diwhite3324; Sciatica is often referred to as any type of leg pain, but in fact there are many causes of leg pain that are not classified as sciatica and need to be treated differently. Sciatica occurs when the sciatic nerve is irritated or compressed by a problem in the low back, thus sending pain from the sciatic nerve down to the buttock and sometimes down the back of the leg. However, many other problems can also cause pain down the leg. So to answer your question, "can it cause pain in the heel", yes. But I suspect it's something else. Sciatic pain usually starts in the buttocks and radiates down the back of the leg. The pain is not usually located in one small area ( the heel). I have had bone spurs in my heel and they can be quite painful. And are quite common. I hope this helps.

If your pelvis is not working correctly and you have changed your walking, yes it can cause heel pain.
