Q: Could I Have Genital Warts From Birth?

I have had white bumps on the front-underside of my penis head since I was 13 (I'm 17 now). At first I thought that they might just be glands...

I remember when I started moving into adolescence my foreskin started to detach itself from the head to give it the "groove" that exists under the penis head... Now, pretty much right after that happened, I noticed the bumps... I have 3 on one side of my frenum and 2 on the other... They haven't grown since... But I think they might be genital warts.

I have never had sexual contact with anyone... But recently I also noticed tiny little white clusters on my shaft... They might have always been there, I don't know, they're really small, probably about 1/20th to 1/5th of a millimeter, but they are numerous and I'm not sure if they're actually "Bumps;" I think it's because they're so small to tell.

... Also, I have spots similar to the tiny ones on my penis on my upper lips; but even smaller, none is bigger than 1/10th of a mm and when I pass my tongue over them I think I feel like my lips gets a little bit rougher. I just looked really closely into the mirror one day and I noticed...

Anyway what is the likeliness of contracting genital warts from birth?
And how long will they take to go out by themselves. I don't want to have to tell my parents that I might have genital warts. I feel uncomfortable talkign about that kind of stuff with them.

usbbar; Is it possible to get genital warts at birth? Yes but extremely rare. Your mother would have to have them and in a current outbreak with them. Warts are a virus. Many people have them and their hands and feet. If a wart breaks or the skin is torn you can pass the virus onto someone else. By the sounds of your description of these small "bumps" they are not warts at all. Probably enlarged sebaceous glands. These glands exist in humans throughout the skin. They secrete the oil that moisten the skin. If this is truly what they are relax. Very Happy They are normal and nothing to worry about. The next time your into get a physical tell your doctor about them and have him check it out. Embarassed

This sounds like a condition that was discussed on the male sexual health forum; I'd highly suggest going there, as this sounds identical to their issues.
