This is actually a question about an older
cousin of mine. He is 52 years old and is
a mechanic. He has always been an
excellent mechanic to the point of being a
perfectionist. He has always had an
excellent work reputation. He has always
been very disciplined and an absolute
follower of rules. For the past two years
he had been working a job in a major auto
manufacturing plant and had to work
alternating swing shifts. He lost this
job for leaving early without telling
anyone. He has since gotten a new job and
just lost it for leaving without
permission, forgetting to tighten lug nuts
properly, basically making simple mistakes
of a newcomer to the business. He is
quick to anger and seems very aloof as if
preoccupied. I am wondering what in the
world could be wrong with him. It is as
if his thought process isn't working
properly, like neurons aren't firing in
his head the way they should. Any ideas
as to what might be wrong with him? Your
input is greatly appreciated. :)
Leaving the working place without
permission and making beginner mistakes is
really strange behavior for person who has
always been very dedicated to his work.
Your cousin could be experiencing a
