I had unprotected sex with a girl i hardly know several weeks ago. and oral sex occured both ways.....

I know symptoms are totally unreliable to go by but i am FREAKING out....

All i have is swollen lymph nodes, which i know can be attributed to anything, but i have had them for over a week. If i had other symptoms such as a sore throat, i may even be more relieved, as i would have something to attribute the swelling to something else. Since there is nothing else though, it leaves me to conclude that it can only be due to AHS.....
Additionally, my joints may be achy... but i cant tell if it is psychosomatic from me being paranoid or if they really are...

Besides telling me to get tested, what are my chances of recieving HIV from her?

It would be difficult to give you exact statistics on that. It depends on a lot of things. It depends on if she even has HIV, what your immune system is like to begin with, if she had her period, and even where you live. It is estimated that people have about a 1 in 1,000 chance of getting HIV from unprotected sex from a random partner, but like I said, your chances can be a lot more or a lot less than that depending on a few things. That's just an average.

When it comes down to it, you know what you have to do. You have to get tested either way, no matter what statistics say that your chances are.

well the demographics are 21/22 year old white college students, but you're right, its all statistics....
