Well I can answer that one. If there are any leisons, visable- and open- then do *NOT* have sex!! All it takes is skin-to-skin contact while the infected person is having an outbreak you will get it. The skin "down there" is much more sensitive and will soak it up like a sponge.
If the infected person does .N.O.T. have any leisons, then proceed with a condom. I would ask, if the partner is on any meds.. some people take daily supplements, or prescriptions. Some only do during breakouts. But be cautious.. even though there are not any leisons..the infected person is still shedding dead cells invisiable to the naked eye. Educate yourself first, and as long as you protect yourself and the infected person does in a healthy way- you can still enjoy each other.
Be sure the person is healthy, educated and aware. If they don't give you much to go on...slam the breaks on that sh*t! If the infected partner is... listen. Then do some research yourself. People that have herpes and maintain healthy lifestyle.. is a good thing. And those types of people that have herpes and control it...and not let it control them...and is healthy..that takes care of themselves..give them a chance. Ask how it happened. Ask ask ask.
Good luck Just because people have it..doesn't make them untouchable. I should know. I have it. I do not let it define me as a person...I cannot stress that enough.
