Lump In Lip - Scar Tissue Posted: 02-19-07 11:11am
Hi,
I'm not sure if this is the correct forum
for this query, apologies if not.
Basically I had scar tissue on the left
side of my upper lip. It came to be there
after I got beaten up and it didnt heal
fully. Basically it made one side of my
lip larger than the other, however not by
any huge amount. This was a few years ago.
Today the scar tissue is still there
however it has reduced in size as far as I
can tell, by maybe half. However the size
of my lip on this side has remained the
same. To me it just appears as though
there is soft fleshy tissue where the scar
tissue was.
The problems are both psychological and
physical to an extent. My upper lip is
uneven because of it which I am self
conscious of, but also the left side of my
lip tends to rub against my tooth, causing
some discomfort.
I'm not overly keen on surgery as there
are no guarantee's of the success, however
are there any lip shaping exercises that I
could do to reduce the girth of the left
side of my lip? Maybe to tone my lips.
