I experience this low hum tone in my ears and head and it's getting progressively worse. It used to be infrequent but now it's more or less constant. It's like as if there is a low hum sound outside. It only happens when everything is very quiet and then the hum takes over but stops when there is other soubnd going on when I speak or when the phone rings, or music etc..
I wnt to google and typed in....low hum in the ear and was surprised that some other people also experience this. Could it be too much caffiene?
The sound is extremely low on the frequency scale, between 30 and 80Hz and apparantly according to a report that some people are picking up this low frequency sound that other people can't hear.
This is driving me crazy at night when all it quiet, I just dread the quiet at night. I don't hear it when I'm alseep and dreaming.
Thanks
