Oh man!! It could easily be a spider bite!
I had a spider bite under my arm, about
3/4 inches from my armpit (talk about
hurt!)
It started off just itching. Nothing
there. I thought it was because I had
swapped detergents.
Then the next day, there were two tiny
pimples. SO I popped them while I was
scratching. It itched ohhh so bad!!
THen the next day the 2 pimples merged
into 1. By that time, my entire arm around
it was blood red and hot with fever.
The very next day, the entire bump was
black and swelling more & more!
WHen the pressure got sooo bad under the
bump, I had no choice but to bust it. SO I
got in the shower and ran hot water over
it. I busted it and watched the black puss
& blood run out.
After that, it had scabbed. Or so I
though. I had raised my sleeve over it to
check it out, and it started leaking.
So I put a bandaid on it and when I looked
at it later, the entire scab (the
size/depth of a pencil eraser was hanging
on by a thread.
So I *had* to just pull it out. Well I
ended up with a hole that you could stick
a cigarette butt half way into!!!
My mom was like "go to the Dr!!!!" But I
didn't...and now I have this huge scar
under my arm where a spider got me!!
Thank .god it wasn't a brown recluse, I'd
have no arm!!
I'm sorry you had to go through that pain,
and I'm sure the antibiotics will help a
lot!!
Sarah

I had a spider bite on my left forearm
that developed into .m.r.s.a, so it was
resistant to antibiotics. i was
hospitalized for a week. it was awful;
they immobilized my arm so that in case it
got infected .i wouldn't move the infected
whatever all over my body.
i learned later that they had to discuss
removing that chunk of my forearm if it
didn't respond to the iv drugs.

Spider bites... *Shudders*... It makes me
cringe even thinking about a spider biting
me on my inner thigh Little too close to
the woohaa lol...
That sucks though, .Sarah.. Yuck, I hate
spiders..
Hopefully this antibiotic works because
this thing is itching like crazy & it
looks so disgusting after she drained
it... There's even more stuff built up in
it now

I'm a serious arachnaphobe(sp?)
I am seriously and insanly terrified of
spiders.
Now that I know what a bite can do, I'm
110% more scared.

I was bit by a spider once, but all it did
was make my tricep swell up... it wasn't
red, hot, painful, or anything. It was
hard, not squishy... and then it just went
away over night. It appeared in an hour,
too, really fast!

i've had tons of spider bites but they've
never been like the ones sarah and natalie
are describing. mine always looked like
gigantic misshapen mosquito bites. i never
feel them bite me though so i'm always
like "oh my god, what if it was crawling
on me in my sleep? what if it's still in
my bed?!"
