Hi

nearly all the skin on my face is very red, even in parts where I dont have acne ive tried all the over the counter treatment products like clearasil, but none of them work and theyve left my skin very dry so I have to put onb moisturiser which I no doesnt help my acne.
Does any one have any tips on how to stop acne or at least to reduce the redness of my skin?

Red Dry Skin
Hello

I used to have acne and for years I tried using products containing chemicals and medication, but all they did was make my skin rough and dry. Then I discovered some naturally derived products that are very gentle on the skin and they cleared up my acne without drying out my skin and with no side effects. Now I market the products to others who would like gentler alternatives to acne medication. I don't know if they'll work for you like they did for me but what if they did? Would you try them then? Send me a private message if you would like to know more.

Sally,

My acne actually disappeared when I started taking birth control. You might want to talk to your doctor about that as a possible option if you can. I also use Proactiv Solution and Aveeno Clear Complexion Moisturizer. Moisturizers with soy are good at reducing inflammation and redness! I still get a few small zits every now and then when my period approaches, but they're nothing a little concealer can't hide. Wink

If you have bangs, keep them off your forehead while exercising and sleeping, and when you're in the shower, be sure to wash your face after you wash your hair. It's also REALLY important that you're getting adequate nutrition and enough sleep. If you're sleeping poorly, eating poorly, and if you're stressed out, your skin will almost always reflect that.

No matter what though, you should definately talk to your doctor about your skin. He/she might recommend a prescription for you if your acne isn't responding at all to the various over the counter treatments you've tried.
