Ok, I recently found out that my last pap was "highly abnormal". Over the summer, I had to go to the emergency room b/c I was bleeding so bad that nothing would help, I was on the toilet w/blood pouring out of me, hot and cold flashes, throwing up, and diarrhea, they called it dysfunctional uterine bleeding, basically there was nothing wrong w/me and they didn't know why that happened to me. The nurse at my doc's office said it's most likely not related. I've also noticed that sometimes my vaginal area gets irritated, not really itchy, sometimes a little sore, and sometimes feels swolen. Also, sometimes I get little tears in my skin in that area. I'm at high risk for cervical cancer, and I was wondering if these are some symptoms, and if not what are the symptoms? And, also if not, what are these symptoms of?

it is nearly impossible to diagnose over the internet. I highly suggest you get a follow-up, or a second opinion from another gynecologist. If you'd like more medical advice from this site, you can use the "ask a doctor" link above, when one is online Smile
