What kind of period is this? I posted earlier that I just finished my first set of birthcontrol pills a few days ago (the 21 day kind) all month long i've been feeling crampy and bloated. My period had started slow with light red spotting, now it's heavy, thick and clotty. I don't want to be so gross, but a realy big dark red sack with blue stuff was on my pad. What the #$%@ is this? Is this a normal thing when starting the pill? I'm kinda freaking out. I'm taking some preaty heavy pain medication, but I was in some killer pain earlier today (i have endometriosis)

fairysweetie

ps. I'll mention again that right befor I started the pill I took the doses of the morning after pill.

It's a chunk of blood clots, it's normal. Since I was young I always had bad periods, very heavy and cramps that are a pain to handle. I went to my doctor and he said it's pretty normal for heavy periods.

That's weird. You'll have to talk to a doctor about that. Blood clots look red or close to burgandy and might be darker than that.

If you took the morning after pill, then that chunk is probably what you were trying to flush out.
As for heavy and clotty, when I start or stop the pill, mine is like that. It is disgusting and I hate it! If your next one is as bad, then I would call your doctor, but I would let this one go.
Your period could also be worse because of the morning after pill. That is a normal side effect.
