Does anyone suffer from diverticulotis?
Please pass along any useful information

diagonized with it and it's so painful.
Right now I have a severe flare-up of it.
I appreciate any help

I have diverticulitis. I had surgery in
2004 and have just recently had a flare up
which is being treated with antibiotics.
My advice to both of you is of course,
follow your doctor's instructions. If you
haven't had a colonoscopy, you probably
should. By all means, if you have sharp
pains, especially in your lower left
belly, please do not try and wait it out.
When my pain started (after weeks of
severe bloating), I went to the hospital
because I knew something was wrong. I
caught mine early so my surgery was done
with a scope Laprascope(sp) I believe. I
hope neither of you will require surgery
and wish you the best. I wish I could help
you but I know of no way to relieve the
pain and the discomfort. I still have
crazy bloating and am looking for a good
cleanser for my colon. Good luck to you
both.

I have this condition,however when I feel
a flare up coming I drink 2 pints of warm
,heavily salted water which makes me feel
bad and passes rapidly through the body.
However it rapidly heals the inflammation
present. I also avoid cows products as
these always start a re action.
Hope this helps, H
