Q: Ingrown Hair, Sebaceous Cyst, Yeast Infection Or Herpes?

About three months ago, my boyfriend got a small pimple-like bump on the base of his penis, right above his testicles (but he was in an accident when he was a child, so the hairy testicle-skin is partially on the base of his penis). We both assumed it was an ingrown hair, that's exactly what it looked like. He's such a drama queen (haha), and wouldn't let me apply a warm cloth & find the hair back when it was small, so he just left it and let it get bigger and bigger and more red. About two months ago, he decides that I must have given him an std (even though he's the habitual cheater), and i've been trying to find any explaination I can (from sebaceous cysts, to ingrown hairs, to a male yeast infection), and I had sufficiently satisfied myself that it wasn't an std... Until he popped it. It shot out a lot of white pus, then it bled for a while (we tried to drain it completely). Well, stuff came out for about 12 / 18 hours... I mean, it kept coming out. That's considered an 'open sore' right? Like herpes, right? But was it only oozing because he popped it? I put neosporin on it and made him sit still for like 12 hours until it stopped. He has no burning in his penis, no painful urination, no other symptoms aside from this bump...

Also, I thought it could be a yeast infection because I had one, could I have given it to him even though he's circumsized? Could candida bacteria cause a large bump like that?

I'm so scared because he says he'll tell his family and mine that I gave it to him! What could it be???????

I have the same thing right now. I dont know what it is.. I think its either an ingrown hair (even though I have not shaved recently) or a pimple. Sounds strange.. A pimple on the penis.. Well, I did the same thing.. i poped it, it was just like poping a pimple on you chin, or face. Same pain, until it squirted puss. after than it went down for awhile.. now its red and larger again..

I was really concerned because I live with an individual who has herpers. I am always paranoid about this. I dont use the bathroom they use, I wont drink or eat from anything they touch, I wash my hands right after I touch anything in the comon areas of the house (kitchen, doors, anything they carried).. Still withall of this i was still concerned.. But both me and my girlfriend are pretty convinced that its nothing to to alarmed about..

There never was really an open sore..It just appeared one day. However I have been itching all day, but i think thats from using a new kind of soap in the shower.

How did this turn out - seeing that its 3 months ago now
