They're allowing illegal immigrants to get credit cards with the only stipulation being that they had to of had a bank acount with .B.O.A for atleast 3 months... No background check, no credit check, nothing.

All to build their credit.

I heard that after they have established some sort of credit (hence credit cards) then they are allowing people to take out mortgages. They don't require a ss# to do this. Would they pay taxes on the houses? I would think so since most of the time taxes come out of mortgages.

What if they get caught being here illegally and are made to leave the country? If that happens a lot then I think bank of america may have to reexamine things because they would have to foot the bill. There are a lot of illegals in the country and it all boils down to $$$ not ethics. Realistically, they hardly get caught and made to leave.

I think they all should leave. I know if I knew someone was here illegally I would turn them in.

then if that happens the bank that issued the mortgage funds owns the property that the mortgage was secured on.
They can then sell that property to regain their funds.

Try living in phoenix az area. There are too many to turn in.

I worked in a school where so many of the children had parents who were illegal. I will never forget this man who was here for 20 years legally, worked two to three jobs and had four children. When he first arrived, he immediately took english classes. He only has a first grade education as he needed to drop out of school to work on a farm. One day, this guy went to the school office and I happened to be there. He was dying to show someone something. It was the school secretary and I who were the first to hear and see the news: he had finally received his paper that made him a legal us citizen!! I will never ever forget his story and that experience. He was in tears showing us his paper. He told me his story before he got his papers and he worked so hard for 20 years. So, here is a man who probably took years to come to the us legally and then spent 20 years to get his citizenship. After meeting him and hearing his story, it makes me very made when other people don't do what it takes to come here legally and they still get benefits. This man deserves to be commended! Everyday he is around illegal immigrants who get a lot of help yet he works so hard for what he has.

I think it's wrong what boa is doing. It's grossly unfair to us citizens. But i'm not out to kick out all the illegals like someone above said. Most of them come here to work and no they are not stealing jobs from us citizens. How many us citizens do you know would come here and pick lettuce (or some other produce) for pennies per crate? Certainly not me. I darn sure wouldn't sign up to be a housekeeper either. It's menial labor that I wouldn't touch.

I dont like bank of america in general, they screwed my mum over and they are just retarded....2 years ago I got about $2000 from my grandmas estate or whatever when she died and I tried making an account with them (everyone tells me they are so great) but since I was under 18 it worked like this, I had to wait at least a week to be sure it cleared (standard procedure apparently but it was a government check, dur) then I could put all the money I wanted to in the account, but I couldnt take any out, only my mum could, so I never got to spend any of my money, my mum used it on the car (which wouldnt have been bad had she asked me first) she isnt good with money

bleh, they suck

I dont think they are stealing jobs fom the us citizens but most us citizens will not work .L cheapo. And if they were to stop hiring the illegals then they would have to pay decent money for someone to work for them.

that's exactly what happened down here with work after .Katrina.

Immigrants from .Mexico came in and would beg contractors for jobs 1/4 of what would be normally offered. So, of course, the contractors jumped on it.
They only had to pay 5 dollars per hour as opposed to 10-12 dollars.

The contractors then refused to hire any other race besides .Mexican because of the cheap price they could get away with paying.

It got sooo bad down here that .Immigration enforcers would pull up to any .Home .Depot or local corner and get no less than 50-100 illegal immigrants per stop.

The contractors were the ones in the wrong in this, but it really hurt the economy.

then instead of paying 79 cents for a head of lettuce you can pay 2.79. Can't have it both ways.

i would. I can't afford 2.79 for a head of lettuce. So in that instance the economy will be robbing me of the money that I make to support my family. All for a job that no one really wants anyway. Now what sarah said, that's a real issue. Not picking lettuce and strawberries.
