Hi.. I have a question about my daughter who is 8 years old. She was sliding down a hill on a snowy day and some how a boy came in front of her and she hurt her back. I have taken her to many doctors and every one was telling me it is just muscle spasm that will take time. Now 3 months later I decided to consult a family friend who is a rheumatologist. He decided to do an xray and found that she has compression fractur of thoracic 10, 11 and 12. She has been suffering ..Crying almost daily of the back pain. Now she hasn't been eating also ..She has loss of appetite and I find her depressed. I suggested that I take her to physiotherapy and today was her first day. She basically can't stand staight at all. She walks bending down almost looking at the floor ..In agony ..And just in pain. She can't tolerate advil she just vomits after few doses. I do't know how to help her. I am in pain with her. Should I ask for an orthopedic opinion. Today in the phsio the doctor said it will take some time becaus eit has been 3 months. Any advice on how this should be handled? Any advice on what activities she should do and what she should avoid? A month ago when they thought it was muscle injury to sleep on a sleeping bag? Should she continue to do that?
