My brother, who has a sebaceous cyst on his back been travelling around central america for the last few months. Within a week, a second cyst appear on his back next to the previous one and became infected.
He went to the doctors in central america who ended up cutting it out and it has left a big goey crater in his back and looks like it is filled with worms!
The doctor told him to keep it covered and have it cleaned twice a day but an american doctor that he met said to just leave it opened and uncleaned for it to heal faster.
His current location is a fairly dusty/dirty area and he is worried that the cut will become infected.
Would anyone be able to help with the best method for him to look after this wound? Thanks!
