Frenulum Breve
I had the same problem with my penis and never knew that it was abnormal until I discovered the wonderful world of porn. I had full phimosis (unable to see glands) although this never proved a problem with urinating or masturbation. After searching the internet for answers I came across a similar website with a guy giving advice on self treatment (the stretching method). After following the advice I was able to achieve retractability after a few weeks. I did this at the age of 22 and I am now 27 and still have a retractable foreskin, though I think I still need to do a little more stretching because it's still a bit tight.
One thing that asian_trail did not mention is Frenulum Breve which is where the frenulum (the bit of skin under your glands that connects to the foreskin) is too short or tight to allow the foreskin to be retracted fully so that it lies smoothly back on the shaft of the erect penis (those of you who watched porn and thought the guys were circumsized will see that the guys foreskin goes back so far that it becomes difficult to distinguish were the foreskin begins and the rest of the skin finishes! This is how it should be).
Some guys who have phimosis may also have frenulum breve, like myself. Of course you wont know if this is the case until you cure the phimosis first so that you can take a look at the frenulum.

Was just wondering if anyone knows how to cure this? Would it be wise to try stretching the frenulum?

Thanks

For frenulum breves you should go to a doctor. Sometimes they snip the frenulum in a controlled situation so it doesn't snap during sex, and so they can prevent scarring which can make the frenulum even tighter.

What does water or usual cream in this case? DO they improve results or are just for pleasure?

Huh? I don't think water does anything. The cremes uses are prescriptions given to them by their doctors. The creams contain steroids which help the foreskin to loosen up and get bigger so it can retract normally. The creme is NOT just for pleasure; it is a medical part of the procedure.

No, no...i don't mean that steroid creme.
I mean usual lubricant or water.
Why did the author of the post say that he did his actions using water? I thought that maybe skin gets softer and better for such operations...

Lubricants and/or water do just that: They lubricate. They make it easier for the foreskin to slide over the head of the penis; that's it.

Hello! This post has made me make a account.

I am 14, I have a 7.5" penis so im pretty sure im done growing, but I have a bad case of phimosis. I can barely fit my pinkie finger when doing the "lateral stuff" So I was wondering if its safe to stretch with 2 golf tees? lol? Ive been trying this stuff off and on for a couple weeks and it just feels like the problems getting worse. Is it a good idea to see a doctor?

Definitely go see a doctor FIRST before beginning any home remedies.

Go. To. The. Doctor. He can officially diagnose you with phimosis so you can get some steroidal creams to help with stretching; and if that doesn't work after several months he can then circumcise you so you can have a sex life when you're old enough.

Frenulum And Phimosis
I'm in the same boat as the rest of you..
my responce to the doctor when he tried to retract it was "you want me to do WHAT?".
So i saw two different doctors because i had penis pain..
it's starting to go away, i think i must be winged it badly somehow..
seeking treatment is very frustrating. basically seems like if you have phimos, they won't even diagnose other conditions relating to the penis because they can't see your glands.
basically told me to go get circumcised and come back and see them so they could diagnose me. Is this a USA thing?

anyways, i'm stretching now...seems to be working, i can see a lot more of the top of the penis.. got a long way to go.

my question is if anyone has had issues with the frenulum? I'm stetching by pulling my foreskin down, and it seems like the frenulum is the tightest part of the whole operation. It's stretching as well, but definately painful if i go too far.

any thoughts?

-Mike

P.S. Whoops..didn't notice the second page of the postings where this is discussed some.. how do we know the difference between a tight frenulum because it's never been used before and frenulum breve? or is tight frenulum the definintion of frenulum breve?

Seeing a doctor is better than using golf tees, don't you think? Anyway, surgery is usually the treatment of choice. It's only a minor procedure.

Hmm
Hey, first off, yeah I think im in the exact same boat you were in asian_trail. Im 20 and ive only just realised the other day that all those guys in the pornos werent circumcised. lol. I can retract my foreskin when im flaccid but then it kinda gets tight and i have to pull it back. I havent tried while erect yet, but sure this realisation that it shud is only in the last few days, so one step at a time. Anyways, im gonna start this stretching exercise and i was just wondering in regards to asian_trails paragrah where he says "insert your two index fingers in the opening and grab the ring". What exactly are u referring to by the 'ring'.

Thanks

Some More Tips
I realized about a year ago that I had this condition and it was very depressing. I finally got fed up and decided that I was going to do something about it one way or another. I found another site which I had to pay a $40 dollar fee for that told me similar advice. I was able to fully retract my foreskin when flaccid on the first day! Some things that really help are to fill up a cup of warm water. Make sure the water is not so warm that i burns you. Then put your flaccid penis in it for 3-5 min and just let it soak. You can change out the water to keep it hot if you want. After soaking it dry it off and put moisturizer on the skin that you are trying to stretch, I use Curel Ultra Healing. Then pull the foreskin back as far as you can with out it hurting and hold it. I just kept doing this. Then I would pull it back as far as I could then soak it again. Like I said I kept doing this until I could pull it back all of the way. Then when it was pulled back I would let myself get a little bit hard to stretch it out even more. When I felt it starting to stretch I would go limp again. I am currently at the point that I can pull it back all of the way and get partially hard. I have the foreskin retracted right now and I am letting it stretch, but I have to wrap some toilet paper around it right now because it is soo sensitive. Just to remind you this is only my third day of doing this.

a Little Different
I've only recently figured (with the help of the net too) that i have phimosis. i acquired it a while ago by prone masturbation, a habit i'm obviously kicking. however, my coronal ridge is swollen (dull purple when flaccid, dark red when erect) and when i retract the foreskin, the area about a centimeter or so just below the corona is pinkish, more sensitive to touch and the blood vessels stick up a bit too much for comfort. Stretching has loosened my phimotic ring a little and i can now move my foreskin over the corona easily, though with a little discomfort, but can anyone here tell me if the sensitive skin and swollen ridge will disappear on its own? i'm pretty scared that it's balanitis, but you dont get that from prone masturbation, and i dont have any white patches on the glans (yet??). am i doomed or is this just a side effect?

Hmm...
I'm 14 (15 next month) and I think I might have phimosis. Confused

It sounds the same as what everyone else is describing, the way the ring is too tight for the glans to fit through (although there's no pain and I can "use it" normally)

I just don't know whether it's something I'll grow out of or whether I should try and sort it out now or whether I should wait a year or two Confused, because I read this:

"The age at which the foreskin becomes retractable differs for each child. It may take until the age of 17 or beyond. This is normal."
(off this)

which makes me think I should wait but there're people 15 years old further up the page talking about it Confused - any ideas? And also, if I did put the embarrassment to one side and went to the doctor - would my parents have to know about it or is that in the doctor's "confidentiality clause" thing?... Or can they not look at patient's bits if they're under 18 ?... Confused

Oh yeah and I live in the UK btw... Smile
