Best Way to Cure Phimosis / Tight Foreskin Posted: 02-16-07 10:15am
Well…there are several reasons why I
thought I should write this article.
Mainly because I had cured my phimosis and
wanted to tell how I did so. Secondly, I
was having that disorder and feel sorry
for other folks who are having it and want
to help them out. This may be a bit
lengthy article, but if you are having
phimosis and want desperately to sort it
out, I guess this would help you. There
are many articles of this nature on the
net, but I feel most of them are lacking
in certain facts; so I bet you’d benefit
out of this. If you feel bored or in a
hurry, skip the ‘introduction’ part
and switch to ‘instructions’ part
later down the article.
Introduction
before I start I should tell a bit about
myself. I’m 25 year old asian and
working as an engineer. I had phimosis
ever since I was born and have now cured
it. I never went to see a doc, no
operations, didn’t tell anyone, didn’t
spend a penny, and no medicine. Just a
few weeks of time, and yes, I cured it by
myself. This is my story.
The first thing that comes to my mind is
how lucky we’re to have this thing
called internet. I mean I was chatting,
downloading crap and doing all the weird
stuff on the internet, but I never
realized how gifted I am to have internet
around until I came to this matter. Had
it not been for the internet, i’d have
never realized I have a disorder with my
penis. I have seen so much porn on the
net and all, and had seen thousands of
erect penises (here comes the funny part)
but it never came to my mind that my penis
is not normal. What I thought about those
guys with fully retracted penises in porn
was that they all have got their penises
circumcised and that’s why their glands
are fully visible and foreskin fully
retracted. Since I had an uncut penis, I
was thinking that’s just the way it is.
I haven’t had sex with someone yet, so I
am the only one who had seen my penis.
Just about 3 months ago (november 2006) I
saw one of my friends retracting the
foreskin of his flaccid penis. I knew he
was not circumcised and it puzzled my mind
how on earth he could do it. Then I went
home and searched on the net for the
pictures of penises with uncircumcised,
retracted foreskin. Then there came up a
picture of a penis with glands exposing
and perfectly retracted. The footnote
said ‘uncircumcised penis’. Just then
it was like a shock in my mind, because
for 25 years I was thinking my penis was
ok, and just now I found out I was dead
wrong.
For some time, I was feeling really
depressed and I could not think of
anything to do. However, luckily, the
internet was there with me and I searched
and searched about the disorder that I was
having. I looked at diagrams, pictures,
medical jargon and all and gained
knowledge as much as any doc would have.
Then I came across an online forum thread
where a guy has posted a question about
phimosis. There were many replies, but
most have recommended that going to see
the gp (general practitioner) is the ideal
thing. Then I thought I too should go to
see my gp. I could put my embarrassment
behind me because the need for curing
phimosis was so intense. I even had set
my mind to do the circumcision, but it was
literally killing me when I thought that
then I had to tell my parents and also
about the possible side effects that could
occur with the operation. I couldn’t
even imagine what it would like when the
people who knows me, including my family
learns about my disorder. All these times
I was dying inside because of phimosis and
couldn’t even eat well. Then I told
myself, ‘ok, i’ll first try the
stretching methods and if it doesn’t
work, i’ll have to eat the bullet and go
see my gp and talk about the operation’
i knew then that if I go to see my gp,
maybe I could get a prescription for a
topical cream (i.E. Betamethasone or
something like that) that would help the
stretching. And even now I believe it
does. Nevertheless, I thought of trying
it out without the intervention of the
doctors. So I started stretching my
foreskin. On the first day, I just gave
the tip of my foreskin a lateral tension
about three times, nothing much. And it
stung for few days and I thought this
stretching ain’t gonna work. But that
pain went away and I started stretching
again. And in less than 6 weeks, I cured
my phimosis 100%. Yes, as I said in the
beginning, no doctors, no operations, no
embarrassment of telling anyone, no
spending money, no medicine or creams,
just 6 weeks and I was done with it.
Based on my experiences and my knowledge
which gained by reading many medical
jargons and forums, I have included the
things you may follow to cure phimosis.
Instructions
note that these instructions would work if
you have primary phimosis (i.E. You had
phimosis since your birth). If you find a
certain term not familiar, search on the
internet because that’s from where I
learned it (remember, i’m an engineer,
and not a doctor). Trust me, stretching
techniques work, because your body is
adapted that way. Only thing is that you
follow the right way, as i’m telling
you. Also go to see a doctor if you’re
feeling unsatisfied with the stretching.
But there is no reason to go to see a
doctor at the beginning because you can
cure it by yourself (well, most of the
time). All you need is some patience and
time. If you can’t wait, and want to
get the circumcision or dorsal slit done,
go and see your gp. But remember, these
surgical procedures are traumatic and can
trigger undesired problems. They are
irreversible and still there are many men
trying to restore their foreskins.
Stretching method work well if you could
do it under warm bath or at least with
water or mild cream like baby oil. But
it’s really not necessary. I didn’t
use any cream, just water. If you got a
steroid cream as prescribed by the doctor,
you may use it, but know that it will
leave a stain in your pants so if you want
to be totally secretive, think again
before using steroid creams. But
certainly steroid creams would speed up
loosening your foreskin, but again, not
necessary.
First investigate the size of opening of
the foreskin while it’s flaccid. Hold
your foreskin tip with two fingers and
pull it away from your body and hold it.
If you can only insert your small finger
to the hole, do it. If you can insert a
bigger finger or many, do it. You don’t
have to insert it deep inside until you
feel the glands. In fact, touching glands
at this stage would be quite painful as
it’s really sensitive. Once you have
inserted one or more of your fingers, with
the help of the other hand, stretch them
laterally. Don’t stretch too much where
you feel pain, as this might develop scars
and tears on the foreskin that would make
the stretching difficult or impossible.
You only have to do this 3-4 mins and
twice per day – in the morning and in
the evening. There’s really nothing
much to it, and as each day passes you
actually start to enjoy it. Within about
a week, you will feel that the prepuce
opening is getting bigger. Make sure that
your objective at this stage is not
retracting your foreskin pass your head.
You should attempt this only when the
prepuce opening is adequately bigger.
Understanding this is really necessary or
else if you start to retract the foreskin
forcefully with the sole intention of
getting it pass the head, the foreskin may
get stuck behind your head and wouldn’t
return, as the prepuce opening is not yet
big enough. If this happens, you will run
in to a critical condition called the
paraphimosis, where the supply of blood to
the glands is cut off.
So what you have to do within first few
weeks is really simple. Just don’t try
extra, it wouldn’t do any good.
Remember – 3-4 mins and twice per day.
I saw on the net people saying that you
should spend about 30-40 mins per day
stretching. This is false, don’t make
tight foreskin problem a big matter, just
follow the simple steps just like I did
and you’d be fine. Foreskin needs time
to grow cells at the tight ring (the
narrowest part in the opening) and make it
bigger. Now the next important thing as
the prepuce opening gets bigger is, put
two fingers (index fingers) of both hands
inside the opening and grab the tight
ring. You would feel this ring separately
from the rest of the foreskin when you put
your finger. Now this tight ring is the
cause of phimosis. Other parts of the
foreskin really stretch sufficiently. So
from this point onwards (i.E. When you
are able to insert two index fingers) grab
the tight ring from the inside of the
foreskin and try to stretch as before.
Don’t exert too much tension because you
might get scars. In case if you do, wait
until it heals up and try again. In about
a week’s time, you will feel that the
prepuce is big enough now. Now stop the
lateral stretching using two fingers once
and forever. It is now that you should
attempt to retract the foreskin. Please
note that the foreskin is still bit too
tight and wouldn’t easily retract. So,
with the help of using lubrication or
plain water, hold the foreskin using two
hands (don’t hold with one hand, as two
hands can exert distributed force) and
gently try to retract it. Don’t try to
get it pass the glands on the first day
itself, just give a few days. In some
sites it states that you should keep
stretching laterally using two fingers.
This is not bad but less effective. This
is due to the fact when you do it
laterally, the tension applied to the
tight ring is not uniform (here’s where
engineering comes in handy). By forcing
the tight ring against the glands, and
trying to gently retract, you’re
applying uniform force on the
circumference of the tight ring, which is
the best and logical method as I think.
As you continue this, one day your
foreskin will suddenly go pass the corona
(the ridge) of the head. This is the
first and most important breakthrough in
the path to freedom. If you followed my
steps with patience up to this point, you
wouldn’t feel any tightening so
there’s nothing to worry about having
paraphimosis. But if you have skipped
some steps, you might feel as if your
shaft is squeezed by something. And you
might see your penis head is swelling with
reddish color. This is an indication of
paraphimosis and just don’t panic, try
squeezing the blood out of the head. If
not successful, you should go to the er.
If everything worked out as I said, when
your foreskin goes past your gland for the
first time, you wouldn’t feel any
discomfort. In fact, I was bit scared
looking at my pink colored glans as I had
never seen it before. It is very
sensitive in the beginning and you won’t
even be able to touch it. When you reach
this state, you may also discover lumps of
whitish substances called smegma. These
are pretty much stuck to the root of the
corona, as you have never been able to
clean it before. Rinse these lumps with
water and you would be able to remove them
with a soft damp cloth. Just don’t try
to do all things in a single day. Try
removing them over a few days. Now you
have reached an important stage where you
can retract your foreskin when flaccid.
To reduce the extra sensitivity in the
glans, retract the foreskin and do your
normal day’s work (of course with pants
up…haha). The rubbing of the glans
against the cloths will make it less
sensitive and you’d feel more comfort as
the time passes. Now’s the time to move
on to the last stage of curing phimosis.
Retracting your foreskin once flaccid
won’t help you much henceforth as the
prepuce has grown to that limit. Now try
the same when your penis is erect. Make
your foreskin damp so that you’d have
more lubrication. You won’t have to
reach the state of ejaculation. Just try
this for a week or two. And ultimately
you’d be able to retract your foreskin
even when the penis is erect. It only
took me 6 weeks from pure phimosis to
reach this final stage. When you can
retract your foreskin when erect (yeah it
may still be bit tight, but don’t worry)
you have literally cured phimosis.
The first thing I felt once I have cured
phimosis is how pretty my penis is. I
even started to admire it. It was a
pretty sight to see the fully retract
penis with pink, glowing glans. My
ejaculations were much stronger and
masturbations were more enjoyable than
before. The head of the penis is much
bigger when it is fully retracted unlike
when I had phimosis. Well, now it has
been several months after I have cured my
phimosis and my penis is absolutely like a
normal penis. Phimosis is gone forever.
Ok folks, one final word, don’t be
scared over phimosis; you can cure it by
yourself. Good luck!

Thanks alot for posting this.
I feel as though phimosis is definitely
underlooked by alot of doctors and alot of
parents. There is a stigma that young men
should not have to have themselves checked
out - "everyone is different in their own
way".
But being in the same boat as you and
probably thousands of others, this
condition can be a huge blow to one's self
esteem and self image. Phimosis reduces
sexual sensations, and has become a huge
obstacle in my personal life. There have
been more times that i'd like to admit
where I was unable to maintain a healthy
sexual relationship with a girl - she felt
as if the problem was with her, not with
me.
But after doing as you did and researching
this condition, it does seem that hope is
possible. I've begun the stretching about
a week ago and have noticed results
already. The concept of being "different"
and of being "inadequate" is incredibly
brutal to a man's mind.
I'm really excited to see how this turns
out though. I'm very glad there are people
who take the time and effort to share
their stories this way. I can only imagine
the pain and embarassment young men with
phimosis of the days before the internet
must have experienced.
Thanks very much for this article. I'll
post again to keep people updated on
whether it works or not.

Thanks a lot for this.
I have phimosis too. One thing that is
amazing (that like yourself) I had thought
my penis was completely normal until I was
about 27 years old. I thought all those
guys in porn movies with the glans showing
were circumsized as well! I think this
really just goes to prove a lack of
education and understanding. I mean why
would one assume that there is something
wrong, when you haven't known any
different?
Anyway thanks alot for this. I am going to
try your technique. My foreskin is really
tight when my penis is erect. When my
penis is flaccid I can pull it back about
half way along the length of the glans.
But the ring is really tight. From what
you are saying, I think I can just pull
the foreskin safely back to this position
and hold it there for 3 or 4 mins for
twice per day. Like you said, this will
give uniform force all the way around the
ring.
And to Robots, I had similiar self-esteem
issues you mentioned. It was a huge
obstacle in my previous sexual
relationships. And the girls I was with
did not seem to understand the problem or
appreciate how it effects self-esteem and
sexual performance.
Anyway, I am going to try this out. And
see what happens.

I don't think the original poster was
trying to be funny. His advice is good.
I'm sorry you didn't see this entry before
you got the operation. If you have an
infection now, have you gone to the
doctors to get antibiotics for it?

This post has possbily been one of the
most interesting posts i think i will ever
read in my life.
Im 18 years old and went through a
relaionship of 3 years just recently,
after a long time when we first engaged in
sexual intercourse i found myself scared,
hiding my penis as i did not think she
would know what too do, maybe be frightend
or hurt me physically.
As time went on i was able to explain the
problem and we worked around it, but after
being in a relationship for so long i felt
comfortable telling her. Its not the fact
i want a new relationship that i do not
feel i could approach someone with the
same confidence as i did my ex in the
past.
This is why i would love to thank the
original post as i feel i may have found
it, maybe a little later than i liked but
still at a stage in my life where i feel
this was neccessary i too will try and see
how all your advice go's.
To some it up..... THANK YOU

Hello Posted: 07-16-07 11:01am
I have just joined because I was searching
for a Phimosis forum, and this one seems
cool.
At the age of 24 (am still 24), I finally
realized that my foreskin had a condition
known as phimosis. I figured this out on a
wikipedia site because I was trying to
understand the penis better. The original
reason on looking up the penis was because
I wanted to understand something. I
thought I had a problem, but after a
little research I found that I was okay.
However, I stumbled across another issue
which was rather confusing.
On the page, there was a picture of a
circumcised penis and one un-circumcised.
Both of the pictures were erect and both
showed the glans at the fullest. I was
confused but after a while it started to
make sense. I soon realized that my penis
could not do this and started searching
around under "tight foreskin". It then
became evident that I had Phimosis.
I tried to look back at my younger days
thinking of if I knew this all along, and
I remember parts of my life where I
questioned the foreskin. I remember one
time, when I was about 5 or 6 years old
when I went to the School toilet. One of
my friends was next to me and I was
staring at his member because it looked so
different to mine. I could not honestly
tell you if he was cut or not because I
didn't understand back then, but I asked
him "Why does yours look like that?" His
reply was "Pull it back". I tried to pull
it slightly after I finished but I just
couldn't, and after I left the toilet, I
thought nothing more of it.
During my teens, I came across Porn (like
anyone does when experiencing and
understanding sex) and I noticed that
their penises looked different to mine
(and not because most of them are huge
either. LOL).
Their head of the penis (glans) were
always shown so I gathered that most
people in the world are circumcised. I
knew that I was intact, and because (to
me) it seemed luck a minority thing, I
gathered my penis was fine and the
foreskin was meant to be tight.
Masturbation for me has always been fine.
Obviously I never pulled down the skin to
cause pain or anything. Basically, I never
came across any problems during my
experimenting. LOL. However, I always knew
that I would have problems having sex with
a girl. I always knew that my skin would
be tight and could possibly hurt me,
making sex fairly poor for me and my
partner.
Still, here I am at 24 years old and when
I finally realized I had Phimosis, I
started searching on the internet for
advice and guidance.
I knew circumcision would be a common
solution to this, but I have grown fond of
my foreskin, and if I do get it cut, I
feel I will regret it for the rest of my
life, even if it does "cure" my tight
foreskin. Before I give circumcision the
go ahead, I just searched for other ways,
if possible.
The internet does has awesome potential in
the home. It can help guide us to the
right path, and give us more options and
not just our doctors. I came across many
pages on the net which talks about
stretching the foreskin. I started to do
basic stretching, and slowly I was getting
results.
I had a very tight foreskin. I could not
pull it back placcid let alone erect. In
the beginning I could just see the tip of
the head, which I believe is known as the
meatus, and that is it.
However, after daily stretching, the
opening slowly got bigger and bigger.
After about 2 months, the opening was more
and more visible. After about 4 months, I
decided to go one step further and get
some betamephasone (sp?). Over here in
England, you have to see your doctor and
get it prescribed to you. I decided to
bite the bullet and go and see him.
I told him my situation, my research, and
my results with the stretching. He started
the topic on circumcision and although I
wanted to end the topic, I decided to let
him speak, as he is only giving me advice.
After he finished speaking, I decided to
end the coversation by being honest.
"I may have phimosis, but I can quite
happily live the rest of my life with it.
I will not ignore circumcision but I would
like it to be my last alternative. I was
slowly getting results with stretching and
I hear this steroid cream helps it"
He agreed with me, and he then asked if he
could see it. I had no problems with this
because the doctor needs to be sure that I
am speaking the truth and not prescribing
this cream for other, un-medicated issues,
etc.
With this, he prescribed betamephasone
0.01% to me, and quickly, I rushed to get
it.
THIS CREAM IS AWESOME!! RESULTS HAVE
INCREASED DRAMATICALLY!!
I know a lot of places on the net
recommend 0.05%, but the 0.01% works just
as good. I cannot say if 0.05% makes
quicker results, but I am just letting you
know.
------------------------------------------
-
Please guys, try the stretching first, and
go see you doctor *if you have to) to get
the cream. It is worth it and don't feel
threatened about. I just went there and
was honest towards him, and this cream
gave fantastic results.
I don't think everyone will be able to
cure phimosis by stretching, but most will
in my opinion. Some people wil cure it
faster than others. For me, I have been
doing this for about 6 months (used the
steroid cream for a bout 2 weeks now). I
am sure th results would be even better if
I started with the cream, but I did not
want to rush it.
Remember, I was very tight to begin with.
Now I can pull it behind the head in it's
placcid state, and I can now pull it
half-way down the head erect. The results
are getting better and better.
I have joined this site mostly to help
feed my views phimosis. To be part of a
group of guys that are not afraid t
discuss this and help each other.
Here are some site's I took onboard when
in my early research stage.
I think the foreskin should be
re-examined, as circumcision seems a
logical choice today when it is not
needed. I was uneducated, like many people
who found out they have phimosis. Still,
this is my view.

Asian trail and helper 1990 and everyone
I read your posts and I am exactly in the
same situation as you are. I am 25 and I
just realised I have phimosis. Did lot of
research on net and I do not want to do
circumcision at all.
Even I read abt the steroidal cream. I
want to try the stretching method mention
but didnt quite get what the ring meant...
Helper1990, you have mentioned the cream
helped u drastically...wud you advice me
to go to the GP first or try stretching
and then see if it helps...I am in UK
btw.

Thanks a lot for everyone for sharing your

I first found this when searching on how
to fix my problem.
It seems my foreskin is TOO tight... I am
able to urinate and all that just fine but
I cannot pull it back at all.
I tried the stretching for a while but did
not see great results after a while, it
didnt seem to be a huge improvement.
Looks like i'll have to go for
circumcision.

The stretching takes
months from what I've read, maybe up to a
year. However, if you feel it didn't work,
then yes, circumcision is your only
option.

This problem has been haunting me for
quite some time now and making me really
depressed.
I am just wondering, how are you supposed
to stick your fingers in to do the
stretching if you can't even touch the
glans? They are too damn sensitive for me
to even lay a finger on so I don't know
how to do this stretching.

YOu do have to desensitize the glans a
little too. Like I said, lube can help
lessen pain. You might also try
desensitizing cream when you're
stretching.

MEGA THANKS to asian_trail. I came to
know about having phimosis. However, was
not sure what to do and I came across
asian_trail's posting. HIS SUGGESTSIONS
INDEED WORKED! If any body in the same
situation, I would strongly recommend to
follow his suggestions.
Well, I did. Results are amazing. I
followd exactly what he said and within
6-8 weeks (with interrupts), I was able to
retract foreskin completely when my penis
is in flaccid condition. Based on what I
read on internet, my phimosis problem is
over or counting last days/hours.
However, (1) if I retract the foreskin
pass the glans head(when flaccid) and then
erect my penis, it hurts slightly. The
orifice ring is somewhat tight. So, can't
eject during sex due to the pressure.
(2) if I try to retract the forskin while
it is erect, I can retract it around 80%
but not past the glans head/coronal.
Hence, it(FS) rolls back when I release
it. So, it covers the glans again.
What should I do? Would Betamephasone
help? Can I buy it over the counter or
have to see physician for that? any other
suggestions or loosen the orifice/ring?

It sounds like your stretching is not done
yet; if you were fully stretched you'd be
able to get it over the corona with no
pain. But I think you knew that! If the
Betamephasone is a steroid cream it may
help.

Hello There! Posted: 11-20-07 12:08pm
Hi all!
At first i wanted to thank you all for
giving me hope once to be like all healthy
men (i have the problem you all have).
Like the most of you i didn't recognize my
problem till this year (i'm 22). I thought
that all men in porno movies are
circumsized too. And once it started to
become too strange that ALL men are like
that. Then i made a thread in one forum
and people answered that my situation
isn't quite normal actually but it's
possible to live without any actions done
with my penis.
Yeah, i know that i can have sex and so on
but i think that my sex could be much
better if the head of penis would be more
in action but it's always under the
foreskin.
So i decided to visit a doctor to talk
about this problem and how to solve it
(circumcision is not the solution in my
case because i simply don't want it). But
luckily i had talk with my girlfriend
about this problem and she managed to find
this site for me! Yeah!
It seems that i can solve my problem
myself!
Now i need your help a bit.
So, i think my case isn't the worst one. I
can retract my foreskin when the penis is
flaccid but i can't do the same when it's
erect. In fact my situation is really
similar to situation that trail_trailer is
having (2nd reply above my post). So i
decided that maybe i could skips some of
steps mentioned in the instruction
(actually i didn't understand it totally
so i might be wrong in some actions).
Where should i start at?
Thanks in advance!

Hm, i think i might be wrong in my
actions. So please correct me if you can.
I tried to pull back foreskin when penis
is erect (because i can pull it back when
it isn't erect quite easy) and hold it for
some time.
But after some time penis starts losing
erection and becomes more flaccid. Should
i release foreskin, get penis erect again
and then keep holding it again or should i
hold foreskin these 3-4 minutes without
any breaks?

If you go flaccid then I'd say release and
harden up again.
