Q: Painful, burning sensations during and after Sex
asked by: DoctorQuestion on February 16th, 2007
I have a problem with sex with my boyfriend (which started BEFORE I started taking the pill). Basically, whenever we have sex without a condom (before taking the pill, this was always at/just after the time of the month) it starts to hurt after 15-20 minutes. Then if he cums inside me it really starts to burn, and then gets really really sore if i go the toilet straight after. It burns a lot less if he doesn't cum inside me. At the moment, i have limited access to a sexual health clinic, so any checks that my boyfriend could have would be great (although i will have access soon).
Thanks for any help, platonic

Painful, burning sensations during and after having sex could be due to a vaginal infection (colpitis) or irritation from your boyfriend’s sperm. You may consult your gynecologist for a vaginal examination, Pap-test and microbiological smear.
