What Are My Chances of Being Pregnant? Posted: 02-16-07 00:59am
I was on birth control for a year and a
half straight, never missed a single pill,
took all my pills on time, but about the
middle of january I went off because I
just didn't have time to make it to my
doctors and I didn't feel it was really
necessary, since me and my boyfriend have
sex once every couple of weeks. Tuesday
of last week (the 6th to be exact), I went
back on. So I was off of the pill for a
little over 2 weeks. Well, on the
wednesday - the day after I went back on
the pill, I did have sex, and made a
stupid mistake. Before I could tell him
that it may be a good idea for him to pull
out, it was too late.
Now I have heard different things. I have
heard that for most women, they will not
start to ovulate the first month off of
birth control, just because your body
takes a while to regulate itself again,
and to get the pill out of its systems.
Other people have told me that it's
possible for a women to ovulate 12 hours
after being off of the pill. So can
anyone tell me what they honestly think of
this?
I have been told by a few that I really
took a risk, and I have been told by
others that I shouldn't worry too much.
My period doesn't come for another 2
weeks, as my doctor told me to start my
pills immediately, instead of waiting for
my next period. Technically I am supposed
to have my period right now, but since I
started the pill again, and my doctor told
me to start immediately, I have 2 weeks to
go.
I am just a little bit worried. Can
people tell me what they think please?
Thanks...
