I know that sinus infection can cause pain in the upper teeth, but would like to know, has anyone ever been told or heard of it causing pain in the lower teeth as well?

I am pretty sure I have Sinusitis, as in right now. I have upper tooth pain and lower too, especially where my wisdom teeth were. I am not sure if this is normal, but it went from very sensitive felt like bruised gums to wanting to grind them down from pressure. I also have chronic strep, I think it helped motivate sinusitis. So much like you I felt the symptoms and tooth pain was very badly described so maybe this helps you.
