What Is This?

My husband started to get an ear infection that was not healed with meds, then it would start to go away, but would get sores on the back of his ears, he treated that with an eczema cream, but it moved to his inner thigh, and head, its itchy and sometimes has small bumps, then out of the blue my head stated itching, now it itches all the time expessialy under warm water. He went to the Dr. And they treated him for eczema, but eczema is not contaigious, so what is going on? Please help.
