I've been getting bored of my workout routine. Sometimes when I work out I get really tired. I only get tired in the morining when I try to work out. My body wakes up really slow. About 7pm is when im fully awake. And I wake up at 6am. I just need some work out routines. Arobic kinds like running. I don't have much my options are running and stairs. Is there anything better?

Hey amanda,

well it is as you said, important to add variety to your programme, this prevents boredom & improves your fitness as your body will need to adpat and learn this new routine.

A few things that might keep you going is to get a "buddy" to run with you, this will make it more fun and provide you with more motivation. Even small notes of encouragement around your house or something that will remind you of your goals will also help.

Essentially you want to work your fitness at an appropriate intensity for at least 30 minutes a day (can be two lots of 15minutes), 3 to 5 days a week.
Things like sprints, jogging etc and mixing it up, even swimming or bike riding if you can.

I do intervals. I run as fast as I can for 45 seconds and then walk or jog slow for a while and then do it again. I try to go farther each time. You could set it up any way you want.

I run up one flight of stairs over and over again for 1:30minutes. I rest, or jog on the spot, and do it again when my heart rate starts to slow down.

Intervals are fun.

I listen to an audio book on my mp3 player the whole time. That also helps.
