Our snow here in northern alabama consisted of me seeing it flurry for a little while this morning while I was driving. Nothing stuck on the ground though. A week or two ago though we had a couple inches on the ground. They shut down everything when that happens, except for where I work. Guess that's a good thing since I work at a public hospital.

Omg! I went to work today and I soooo shouldn't have. First off pretty much everything around here was closed (schools, universities, government offices, etc). I get to work and send the temps out to do snow removal and there was a layer of ice under the snow. People in my building are elderly and they won't keep their butts in the house. They want to go out for some weird reason. And try to walk on the ice. Rolling Eyes then the storm knocked the power out. Again, these people are elderly. Half of them are on oxygen that needs to be plugged in. Our generator kicked on but didn't work in every apartment. I spent soooo much time on the phone with the electric company. Then our fuel company wouldn't come out and refuel our generator tank. Great. Finally the power came back on but then the heat in the common areas went out and no one would come fix it today. I'm sooo ready to turn in my resignation.

I've got a video conference interview for a work at home job on friday. I hope it's legit and not a scam. If it seems legit i'm going to work it while still working my regular job for about 6 weeks or so to make sure they pay me. If everything goes well i'm handing in my one month's notice. (no two weeks notice for my company) Rolling Eyes

They have 2 openings. Processing orders for an internet store and collections for an internet store.

Plus there's mad opportunities on monster for medical coding from home...Too bad I don't know anything about medical coding.

I just hate the beach. I hate the sand and I hate going in the ocean with all the sea creatures.

I actually did like the beach I vacationed at in north carolina, it was sandy and there were shells everywhere and the water was like 78 degrees.

Our beaches are more for the surfers. We have a few nice sandy ones but mostly they're rocky and the water never gets warm.

Ok, I do love going to the beach at night and walking along the sand, you can hear the waves crashing and see millions of stars. It's so romantic.
