Would you support legislation in your state (or even federally) that would require organizations that receive either tax breaks or government grants provide .Medically and .Scientifically accurate information to their clients regarding: basic biology and anatomy, condom effectiveness, birth control, and abortion?

if I understand that right, then yes, as long as adoption and parenting options were also included, which would include how to get aid as a new parent, how to give a child up for adoption, and safe places to obtain abortions.

i would support legislation that says all organizations (if pertinent) have to supply medically and scientifically accurate information about everything to those who need it. I can't figure out a reason why not...I support informed choice. I support accurate education, even if it's detrimental to a cause. I do not support censorship, but if an organization is practicing unethically, providing accurate information trumps my dislike of censorship. Truth first.

now i'll give you some background on this. We developed some legislation that we were looking for a representative to carry in both the state house and senate. However, when we turned over what we already had, they struck out the portion that would require .Crisis .Pregnancy .Centers (.C.P.C) to provide their clients with medically and scientifically accurate information. The representative's excuse was that he didn't think enough of the general population of his district would support restrictions on .C.P.C's.

But, we gave him countless testimonials and agreed to bring our clients who had been treated wrongly by the .C.P.C's to testify before the committee and he said that not enough people in his district knew what really occurs in .C.P.C's, all they would see would be restrictions on an organization that claims to do a lot of good for .Women in the area.

So, I was just wondering if the support really would be lacking or if he was just afraid to make a politically risky move.
