Q: Douching With Water

I normally douch myself with water just so I can get temporary relief from all the blood and muck from my period. The water is usually lukewarm and sometimes my period skips a month when I douch.I was wondering if this has any negative effects on my fertility or on my period? If you could answer this, it'd would help me loads!

I doubt douching has anything to do with missed periods. Our bodies just don't work that way. If this a common problem for you, I would suggest you contact your doctor because if you are ttc not having normal cycles can definitely make it difficult. I would ask the doctor about the douching though. Tap water has lot of stuff in it that most people don't know about it. It's best to let you female goodies rid itself of the blood the way that god intended. This is just my opinion though.

I agree with monkey. Ask your doctor about douching with water the next time that you see her. It wouldn't hurt to get her opinion.
