I read that I should't gain weight until I am 11 weeks:
0-10 weeks no weight gain

i am 5 weeks pregnant... I was on a very strict diet before I got pregnant and I am bloated, my breasts are huge, and I have gained like 3 or 4 pounds already!!!!! Is this normal???? Have I actually gained weight or is it just my breasts getting bigger and water retention?

It sounds like water retention. But gaining weight at the very beginning isn't awful and won't hurt your baby. Try not to worry.

You're not still dieting, are you? It's advisable to eat healthy foods, but remember not to cut your calorie intake back or cut entire food groups out. Your body/child need all the nutrition you can give! That doesn't mean you should eat junk, but definitely keep in mind that there's another little life in there now! Good luck! Wink
