...Health insurance. Got a letter from my employeer stating that I don't qualify for family medical leave and I will no longer have health insurance. This is harsh when you can't work for a very long time. My husband makes two hundred over the maximum to get any insurance aid of any kind...We looked into it. Living in wa state is impossible with one income.

Also, my work wrote me a letter stating that I am insubordinate because I continued to work from home after them telling me not to (legally purposes). I only had a few things to finish up. It wasn't direct insubordination; it was doing what I had to do to prepare for the next person taking my place.

I went to school for nine long years, got a nice chunk of student loans and now I will have this in my file which could potentially ruin my career. I worked my butt off.

They are hiring for my position right now.

The school I worked at did like me at least. I am sure I can get some good recommendations from them.

What am I going to find out next?? I feel like I am in this horrible horror soap opera!!

I have no idea. We will have to come up with money for insurance. My family may have to step in. Someone just told me about basic health but I don't know the income requirements. I probably won't qualify for that either. My husband also works for another school district and since we are not in open enrollment, he can't just add me.

I just can't believe my employer. I worked so hard at this job and they just spit me out. This makes me feel like nothing - absolutely nothing. How much crap can a person go through in a few months time??

I am just waiting for something else to fall. Just waiting for some more bad news somewhere....I did something wrong at my job, someone is sick, my son continues to get worse with crying and maybe something else is wrong with him.....Horrible thinking. How can I be extremely happy. My husband dropped out of a phd program at ohio state last year for us to come back home to be near family. He went through a depression episode as well. Now we can't even live near family because it's too expensive in this place or there are a lack of jobs in some cheaper areas. So much more happen in our lives last year. So much more.

I am usually a very social happy person. I guess this is what it feel like to go through major depression. I am not without reason. I just hope my husband will keep his job.

I'm sorry, karin. It really does seem like one bad thing after another. I'm going to think positively and hope that the next thing to happen will be something great.

I am too dang honest to do that. However, that statement may not be far from the truth. With the way everything is headed, that could be what happens.

Send me more of that lottery dust. I am hoping publishers clearing house comes to my door on feb 28th.

This nice labtop provided by my school goes back today or tomorrow as well. It's so nice to just type where I want.

I'm sorry you're having such a hard go of it. I know exactly how you feel. I'm feeling a bit down myself lately (understatement). Do they have chip in wa? Maybe you qualify for that? Or bcbs? They have some low cost health insurance available as well. It supremely sucks to be without health insurance. That's a feeling that I know well as well. Can you get medical just for your children (your son and your unborn)? Sometimes that's a way to work it. They usually have a higher income limit for pregnant women though.... Confused

Corporate america blows. They treat mothers like lepers. And health insurance is a mother. Maybe I will move to canada. *beep* the us where moms are treated like trash and expected to work 70 hour weeks for chicken feed pay and still raise normal, well-adjusted children!!! Okay, rant over!
