Just wondering if we could freeze multiple
samples of my husbands sperm and then
combine them all together to do IUI so
we'd have more sperm being injected. We
are paying for all of this out of pocket
since our insurance doesn't cover it and
we are trying to be cost effective.

The concentration of living and mobile
spermatozoids in the sperm is more
important than the total amount of sperm.
You may collect more samples of your
husband’s sperm, freeze them and use
them later. But before completing
intrauterine insemination (IUI), the
spermatozoids should be concentrated so
that the percentage of living and moveable
spermatozoids in the sperm that will be
injected in the uterus is as large as
possible. All these procedures (collecting
sperm samples, freezing them,
concentrating the sperm and sperm
injection) are done in special
institutions that specialize in assisted
reproduction.
