Hi everyone,
my problems started a few months ago. I
use to play video games constantly
(professionally) - about 4 hours a day 7
days a week.
A couple of months ago I noticed strange
problems with my arms. They would feel
abnormally heavy after an intense playing
session. Then a couple of dsys later I
was playing and I started to feel very
strange (lathargic, weak, vision was a
little off). A couple of minutes after
the inital feelings I fell over while
seated to my left hand side. I didn't
lose conciousness but when I fell the
following occured.
- vision went completely blurred, to
the point where absoultely nothing could
be seen. I had no muscle control at the
time and it lasted for a couple of seconds
(i think).
After that occured, I stopped playing and
I didn't notice anything else. A couple
of mornings later I woke up with very
blurry vision in my right eye, that didn't
improve for 36 hours (the area around the
eye also felt strange). About a week
later I woke up again with severly blurred
vision in the right eye, to the point
where I was legally blind. The vision
came back within 24hrs but I couldn't
focus past 2 feet for about 36hrs.
Two weeks after the 2nd vision loss I
started to experience slight cramping in
my right hand, forearm and bicep. It
went away and I developed spasticity in
the hamstrings and cramping in the upper
calves. That also went away after a
week. I've lost sensation in my thumbs,
index and middle fingers and I get pins
and needle feelings in my: fingers,
tongue, and feet. Sometimes they occur
for no apparent reason, other times they
occur far more quickly after doing
something like lying on my side, etc.
I've also had a very poor diet over the
last 5 years (since college)... Tons of
fast food. I definitely get feelings of
chest pain from time to time and sometimes
the heart seems to pound. I'm 26 years
old, they say my blood pressure and
cholesterol levels are fine and i'm 6'
185lbs.
Could a mini stroke cause something like
this? I also have a feeling of fatigue
/ weakness yet I have full strength when I
need it.
Thanks

Well considering you play video games so
much I would have said that the tingling
in your hand was carpel tunnel syndrome
but you have so many more symptoms that I
doubt it is that. You should definitely be
telling this to a doctor.

Yeah I really think that you should
consult a doctor but dont necessarily
think the worst, it could be as simple as
restricted bloodflow around the body.....
GOodluck!!
