Q: Can I take Ovulex, Metformin AND prenatal vitamins at the sa
asked by: DoctorQuestion on February 11th, 2007
Can I take Ovulex and Metformin AND prenatal vitamins at the same time?

I don't know if I'd even need Metformin anymore. It isn't working -- I still have ALL the PCOS symptoms and I've been taking it for years. My current RE, who just assisted me through this last medicated cycle, will not answer any of my questions nor monitor my Metformin dosage. Needless to say I am not returning to him for care, however I'm left with this question....

Thank you for your help,
Pamela

It seems that you are experiencing all the symptoms of polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS): irregular cycles, no ovulation, hair growth, and weight gain. It's been lucky that have been able to become pregnant 3 times and to deliver 3 babies. I’m saying this because women with PCOS usually experience sterility and have an increased risk for miscarriages. Ovulex is a natural product and you may take it with metformin and vitamins. Metformin is an oral antidiabetic drug used for treating diabetes mellitus type 2 (DM-2). It is believed that women with PCOS have insulin resistance like that experienced during DM-2.
