Q: I'm Worried Regarding My Enlarged Ovaries Size

I got my ultrasound done past week. Although it read both ovaries are within normal limits of their size. The volume of right ovary is 8.5 cc; left ovary is 9.5cc no mass is detected in relation to either of them. No free fluid is seen in the abdomen.

Are my ovaries really enlarged enough to cause mensuration and reproductive problems in future?

The only worrying thing is that a single lymphnode os 18x10mm size is seen in ther para-aortic region.

My periods have been irregular for past few months.

My doctor suggests that I may not able to conceive in future! Is this that serious problem though?

A little help will be appreciated! Thanks a ton!

Your doctor knows more about you than we do. If your doctor says you might not be able to conceive, then yes, it is possible that you might not be able to conceive.

Do not be afraid to get a second opinion though. There is no harm in having another doctor take a look just to get two different views on the subject.

Ask your doctor any questions that you have while you are in the office. If you think of things after you get home, make a list of your questions as you think of them. Then you can call your doctor or bring the list in the next time you see him or her. Never be afraid to ask your doctor all kinds of questions. If your doctor tends to rush you in and out without answering questions and explaining things, you can always look for another. They are the people who can best answer these kinds of questions.

Good luck.
