A little boy at the daycare I work at did the same thing, he is about 17 months old but was doing it around 10 months too, I think he is just exploring himself and he will eventually grow out of it! Good luck

I baby sit this 2 year old boy named kol. When I change his dipairs he "plays" with him self and he lifts his legs up and corsses them. I think he doesnt like when I look at it!:p

I dont think you should do anything. Telling him no may make him insecure.

Hey I read about this...Around 10 months they are beginning to discover more things about themselves including themselves down there its okay if they do it they are just exploring and trying to make sense of it!!!Good luck hun!! Love u!!!

Best advice: leave it be. Don't make it seem like a big deal. He's "exploring" and I remember my little brother and my nephew doing it as well as my sister and niece when they were babies. They would touch themselves, but I think it's an exploration process.

Yes most children do that..Like someone said before dont yell at him or tell him no, it could cause emotional probs so ive heard.

Thanks again ladies, I was never around babies, ever, before sean was born. I had no idea what I was in for, but I made it through and I loved it. Well I take that back I was around our new nephew, at that time he was like 8 months old but I didnt see him that often. I didnt wanna learn off his parents anyways though because they didnt really take care of him well. When we were in ill. Over this past break, I had to take care of him and bathe him as well as sean. He didnt have manners either, and it was sad because sean is so much bigger than him and he is almost 2. I undersstand that he was a preemie but he should at least be walking and things of that nature. He had just started to pull up. And when he was little he slept in his car seat or his swing, worst thing ever for a growing boy..
