Q: Ear Trouble

For the past few days both of my ears have been plugged. My left one will occassionaly pop and go back to normal, however that only lasts for a short period of time. It's hard to tell, but I think my right ear finally popped (for the first time since i've had my ear infection) and it's been a couple of hours...So I think it's going to stay open. So does anyone know how I may be able to pop my other ear? It's sooooooooo annoying, I can hear myself walk, talk and chew. It makes me feel like an old lady that's in need of her miracle ear. H.E.L.P! I'm willing to try just about anything at this point. Kia, why do I have a feeling you will have answers? Smile

Hmm... I don't know about how you could pop your other ear but I hope you get feeling better soon! I hate that feeling of being able to hear yourself talk & chew!!

Um yawning, chewing gum, moving your jaw in odd ways

if all else fails try closing your mouth and plugging your nose then try breathing out and in for a little, just be careful you dont make your self pass out lol....Dont know why but that always works for me

i get ear infections and swimmers ear all the time, I have weird ear canals that make it terrible for ear infections

i wondered about those! I'll have to give them a try. I've heard of them before, but never heard feedback about them. I've been searching the net for answers, and one thing I read was to avoid nose-blowing. Well, my doctor told me to blow my nose a lot, so I have been. I also read (along with no nose-blowing) to use a nasal spray. So we shall see!
