I always thought there was an increase in the chances of developing cancer in men after age 40.
Yesterday, my dr told me that the chances go up at 50, not 40.
Is this true?

Actually people can be affected by cancer at all age. However, people ages more than 50 years old are more likely to get cancer. That's because they get older, even if no one in there family had ever had it. But the chances of surviving cancer are bigger today than ever before.
Cancer can be more likely to be treated successfully if found earlier.
