It's not bad at all. Better out than in, right?. Get those negative emotions out so you can make room for good ones. Keeping your feelings inside will only make you feel worse, which will raise your stress levels. And that can be bad. So nope, cry away! Just try to remember to laugh too.

Ok, because I heard somewhere that crying is bad. I heard the baby knows when the mother is sad and when the mother is stressed and its not good for the baby at all. So I was just wondering if there was something for me to do instead of crying my eyes out everynight.

We don't know what the baby knows. But you can't just stop being sad, or stop being depressed. Crying is a release, and you'll feel better afterward. Crying deals with the emotions and helps to release them in a healthy way. It's a good thing, I promise. Your baby will be just fine. As long as you're breathing, you'll be stressed out, and doubly so when you're pregnant. So just deal as best you can and don't make yourself feel worse by feeling guilty for your emotions. Do what you can and know that it's all you can do. Right?

There are days where I am perfectly normal. Its just that I recently moved out of my parents house and the way im living now is so stressful. I sit here everyday alone while my fiance is at work with nothing to do. But at least I know crying is ok.
I know this is off the subject, but I need to know something. Before I even knew I was pregnant, I took some triple c's (around 10 of them) to get high and a week before that I smoked some weed and drank quite a bit. While I did all that, I was pregnant and didnt even know it. Is that going to effect my baby? I took some blood and they gave me an ultrasound, so wouldnt they know if everything is ok or if something is wrong? I really need to know because thats part of the reason why ive been stressing. I quit smoking and drinking right when I found out I was pregnant also.

If it did, it's done and there's nothing to do about it now. You stopped when you found out you were pregnant. That's the important thing. Stressing about it won't change a single thing. All you can do is move forward and hope for the best. I won't lie to you and say your baby is perfectly fine, because how do I know? But chances are, your baby is okay.

It's still pretty early for them to know for sure if your child has abnormalities. They might not know until your next ultrasound. I'm betting things are fine. Try to hold out until then, okay? And remember, nothing you do will change what's been done (if anything) so just take care of yourself and keep your thoughts positive.

Im trying to stay positive on things. But, I just keep thinking about what I did before I was even pregnant. I was only 2 or 3 weeks pregnant when I was doing it, is there a chance that could have effected the baby because it was so early into the pregnancy? Is there anyone you know thats ever done drugs or drank alcohol while they were pregnant and didnt know about it? Cuz im not shure when my next ultrasound will be if im already 10 weeks

Is there a chance? Yes. Would it be from drinking or taking drugs? Maybe. Maybe it would have happened anyway. Chances are, you'll never know.

But what are the chances that something's wrong, since you stopped as soon as you found out? Very slim.

And what will dwelling over it solve? Absolutely nothing. You're punishing yourself over something you can't fix, and there's no reason for it. The only thing you could do is to stop the behavior, and you've done that already.

Your doctor will probably schedule another ultrasound around 18-22 weeks, depending on your insurance.

Well I hope I get another ultrasound soon. Im not really dwelling on it that much, but I think about it every now and then. I didnt even know I was pregnant when I was doing it. I just took a test one day and it turned out I was pregnant and regretted everything I ever did in the past. Because I was afraid it will hurt the baby. Ill try not to be so stressed out about it though because it wont change anything, your right. But thanks very much for the advice Smile

Yeah it`s really good to cry. That`s a given. Never hold your emotions inside, because eventually you'll reach a breaking point.

Unlike most people, I hold my emotions in. Why? I don`t know, but it hurts trust me. =/

Yea Some Were
Hi every one I read some were that there are days in a pregnant women that she maybe sometimes sad and sometimes happy I just remembered it its called mode swings. I think its better to cry then to keep it inside of you then when you keep it inside of you and there will be a time when it all gets out and you don’t want anything to be saved inside of you for a long time. I thinking crying is a good thing but not all the time.

Good luck how many months are you?

Sara-everyone has mood swings not just pregnant women

nicki-of course its fine to cry, but I think laura already covered all of that really well, I just wanted to add that when I had to go to genetic councelor (one of my blood tests said my baby might hav had sowns syndrom, turns out she doesnt thankfully) she said that things you did in those really early weeks are usualy (not always) all or nothing, if its gonna cause a problem it causes a severe problem (miscarrige)
