Hi,
today I visited an ear, nose and throat doctor and scheduled a date for a tonsillectomy. I asked the office manager, the one who scheduled my surgery date, questions I had while I was there but now I have a ton of questions that I wasn't thinking of while I was there. For example, while recovering at the hospital will I be on an iv? I am only staying there a few hours and will not be spending the night unless something goes wrong. Will I be administered an anesthia or some type of injection to put me to sleep during the surgery?
Those are the two main questions but my mind is racing as I am very nervous. If anyone knows a lot about this or has recently undergone a tonsillectomy any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks so much
