Q: Back Pains Bcuz of Epidural

Hey.
I'm just curious if anyone else has problems with their back now since getting the epidural. I really didn't want mine but it was for the better because of the emergncy csection but now 8 months after if I turn the wrong way or lay down wrong from where they stuck me all the way up my back and down my right leg I get a sharp pain. I went to pick up .Casey the other day and bent down and went to lift and almost dropped him. I felt so bad I hurried and fell to the floor.
Has anyone else experienced this ?!?!

I had one for my section.

But I did have that problem. I havn't noticed it since about 2 months ago. But sometimes the spot they did it sends a sharp pain up my back. But it's not all the time like it was.

I had one too. You get either an epidural or a spinal, I already had my epidural in from when I was in labor and they left it in for about 2 days and used it to administer my pain meds.

I haven't had any pain or anything since though.

Yep...I had an epidural and a spinal.
Afterwards, I had terrible back pains for months.
It eventually went away on its own.

I've had a epidural twice now and sometimes when i'm out and it's cold I get sharp twinges at the needle site. It's annoying but it's not constant so I can live with it Confused

Ok I just wanted to see if I was alone with it. Cause its an annoying feeling but also it not all the time.

Oh and it was an emergency c section. I was about a week over due and was getting induced. I went threw labor for 4 hours with no pain meds or anything and then when they said there was a possibility that they might have to do and emergency csection I broke down and let them do the epidural. They kept mine in my back for 3 days and I got to use the pump. Woooo that was heaven <333 lol i'm paying for it now though. Hopefully it passes with time.

i suffered from severe .Sciatica during the early, middle, and last stages of my pregnancy! I was in eye watering pain allll day! And I had clients that I had to deal with back to back. It was horrible...

I'm sooooo glad that's over.

I didn't have an epi, so I can't help with the initial question. I thought i'd just add my 2 cents about the .Sciatica.

My Dr. Said the best remedy for it is to do knee to chest stretches. But even lifting your foot can cause it to pinch. It's horrible...
