Nancy, it's just how things go on a forum isn't it.

Tiny things blown out of proportion, and then 6 months later a newb goes and posts to it bumping the old thread and re-starting the debate.

"perhaps we should discuss the pros and cons of each one.. "

i'm open to suggestions. I think the compact ones look cool but....Then again, the standard bulbs do give off heat.....But the others save energy.....Oh I dunno. Help!

not exactly.
3 of us wrote it about 4 or 5 years ago now.

I was just adding stuff to my website and going through old old old text files and found it and needed to post it.

It was around the same time that we (well, katy) wrote electricated nappies.

don't even get me started on those fluorescent lightbulbs. Nick and I went back and forth on this forever until the day I opened the fridge and saw he'd swapped out that bulb for the fluorescent one, he said he just wanted to conserve energy and save money, I said "you do know the light goes off when you close the door, right?", that's when I drew the line and had to designate which lamps he could use them in. And I made him put the old bulb back in the fridge.
