Hi everyone,

i've been through these forums, and for the most part I know the basic stuff, so i'll give a little background info about myself. I'm a 20 year old gay male and have only had oral sex. I've only had oral with about 4 people and i've never swallowed or came into contact with the sperm when they've ejaculated. I don't do drugs or anything like that either. On the 1st of december I gave my boyfriend at the time a blowjob and he gave me one too. I didn't really give him all that long of a one because I wasn't feeling so well, and I definitely don't remember coming into contact with any of his pre-cum.

A few days later we broke up because I found out he was sleeping around. This makes me scared because I don't know what he might've been doing with other people and if I could potentially have hiv. I know oral sex represents a low risk, so would it be worth the time to go and take one of those free rapid oral hiv tests? Also this occurred on december 1st and I want to get tested right away. 12 weeks will be february 23. There are free walk-in tests around me every monday, and the few mondays after the 23rd I will be gone and busy on a trip for my schooling. So if I get a test on monday, feb 19th would that allow enough time to have a conclusive result? Or do those few extra days make a difference? I know it's good to get tested again at 6 months, but i've researched most other countries aids policy other than the us and they state a negative at 3 months can be conclusive as a negative result.

Thank you for your help, i've just been so worried!

I hope you found the help you needed. How are you doing?

It is recommended to take two tests because there are some slow progressors whose tests won't up positive until after six months.
