I have been on yasmin for the past 11
months and have never missed a pill.
However, this month, absentmindedly I took
2 pills on the same night at the interval
of perhaps 2 hours. As a result, I
finished taking my 21st pill on a thursday
instead of the usual friday. I usually
get my period on tuesdays, but this time I
got it on monday.
Now, I am confused as to when to start my
next cycle of taking pills?
Under normal circumstances, my 21st pill
would have been on a friday, so I after
the 7 day break, I would take the first
pill of the following cycle on a saturday.
This month, since I took an extra pill on
one of the days resulting in the 21st pill
being consumed on a thursday - should I
take the first pill of the new cycle on:
- saturday, as usual
- on friday, sticking to the 7 days of
break formula
also, are there any side effects that I
should worry about because of the excess
dosage on a single night?
Please help! I would be very grateful.

Supposedly when this happens it is safe to
restart your pill as usual on the saturday
that you normally would.
To be extra cautious, you may consider
starting the next pack on friday instead.
