Omg...I just read the paper this morning, and it talks about how a person left a baby who, they estimated was not even an hour old, on the door step of a house. The weather this weekend was - 30 celcius. what? What a crazy person!! The baby was still covered in blood and mucus from the womb. It was a little girl, and she was wrapped in a towel.

This happened in quebec...Lil blaze..Have you heard any info on this??

That person, should be sterilized, and left out side naked after being hosed down with freezing cold water

Don't they have safe places to take babies that the parents don't want? They do here. Here you can take a baby to the police or fire station and leave the baby, no questions asked.

What a *beep*!!! To leave a baby out in the cold like that to possibly die!

Any word on how the baby is?
The person who did that should be locked away for good and sterlized. That is such a horrible thing to do to such an innocent being..

This incident actually happened in saskatoon saskatchewan (about 3 hours from me). Unless there was another one in quebec im unaware about. Anyways, it has been given national attention, and the police are frantically looking for the mother. The morning that it happened, the dog inside the house apparently was barking, letting the owners know that there was someone outside the door, and not 10 minutes later the man of the house went outside to start his car. Thats when he saw this bundle by his feet, and realized that it was a baby when it squealed. The police say that it would have only had minutes to live because this was the coldest morning we've had so far this year (i think -41c). And estimated the baby to be only 20 minutes old.

In any case I hope they find the mother and she gets what she deserves! Evil or Very Mad

edited to say that yes - the baby is doing fine, she was a healthy 7 pounds and is in the hospital. Now a case of social services.

I live in saskatoon sask and I heard bout this on the news ...Apparently the baby was put inside a sleeping bag and left outside this home the dog inside heard some noises and started barking ...The owner went out bout 10 minutes later to start his car and discovered this 20 minute old bundle upon picking it up the baby cried and she rushed it into the house where his wife a registered nurse took over the car of the child while authorities were notified...There is a plea too the mother of this baby too come forward ...She wont be arrested they just want too make sure she is ok and find out the reasoning behind her doing this ....We are trying too get the same thing as the states where if a mother does not want her child she can take her baby too any church fire station or police station no questions asked ....The temp on that day was minus 39 with the windsheild

Yeah jess, that's what I was talking about. In the us if a mother has a baby and doesn't want it she can take it to a police station, fire station, etc and leave it with the authorities. They are not allowed to ask questions, not even for the person's name. They will then take the baby to child services. They started doing that because of all the teenage girls giving birth and literally throwing away the babies...
