Q: NuvaRing Use

i have been on NuvaRing for about 2 months. I took it out 2 weeks ago for my period week and had unprotected sex 5 times, and then didnt put it back in the week later, and had unprotected sex 5 more times yesterday. When i went to the bathroom last night, i was bleeding when i peed, and i am not due for my period. I have had my period 3 times in one month. But this time, its just a bit of cramping and some bleeding, nothing really heavy like it was before. The past 2 times i got my period, it was because i took the ring out too soon, or on time, and the drastic hormone change, makes you get your period about 3 days after removing it. Well, i didnt take it out this time, and its not time for my period. I dont know whats going on, but i need some answers with this, please help

It seems that you are taking the “NuvaRing” out and putting it in the vagina whenever you want, which is not correct! And another thing: only one NuvaRing is to be used per cycle. For the next cycle, you need to put in a new NuvaRing! The NuvaRing is inserted inside the vagina on the 7th day after your period began. It stays there for 21 days. Then you take out the NuvaRing and wait for 7 days. During those 7 days you will get your period. On the 7th day of your cycle you will insert a new NuvaRing.
That vaginal bleeding you are experiencing could be due to hormonal disturbances (functional bleeding) caused by your improper usage of NuvaRing. But to exclude organic bleeding (due to infections or tumor) you can visit your gynecologist.
