Q: Brown Discharge? Help

I am 21 and just started taking lutera, about a month and a half ago. I originally started taking it to regulate my period. It has worked so far, but now i'm about a week and a half into the new packet and I have this brown discharge. I already got my period when I was supposed to. I haven't had sex yet and was planning on it when I visit my boyfriend next week. Am I still able to have sex even though I have this brown discharge? Does that mean I can get pregnant? Please someone help, i'm alittle scared.

Other women taking lutera have also complained about spotting and many other changes in their cycles. Changes in your cycle is listed under the "not usually dangerous" section of the side effects list. They say such side effects might go away after three to six months.

It sounds like you are probably still covered and cannot get pregnant, although you can always use condoms, spermicide, or both if you are really feeling unsure. It would probably be a good idea to tell your doctor about it and any other side effects that you might be having. Don't forget that you can often also ask a pharmacist questions about pills or call your doctor's office, so you don't necessarily have to make an appointment every time you have a question.
