On a recent trip I was so drunk I do not remember what I did with a paid women. The next day I was so upset I did this and betrayed my girlfriend. That day I also felt a slight discomfort with my left side scrotum but no discomfot or burn when I urinated. The discomfort in the scrotum seem to go from left to right but mostly on the left scrotum. It does not hurt and when I hold my scrotum and try to feel for any lumps which there are none also no discharge or burn when I pee. It is now a little over a week since that trip and my scrotum seems to feel better. I guess my question is how quickly will I experience symptoms of any std like chlamydia? Or can it be the amount of stress that I put myself through thinking that I got an std and that will ruin our lives; kids, house and future marriage?

Chlamydia can take 1-3 weeks to manifest themselves if they even show up. About 75% of infections in women and 50% in men are without symptoms. I would go to your doctor right away and he will swab the inside of your urethra or there are also other tests which check a urine sample for the presence of the bacteria.

If you have it, your doctor will give you oral antibiotics like doxycycline and recommend your partner be treated as well to prevent further spreading. I don't know what state you live in but the law in california is that if you have an std they have to contact all your partners in the last 6 months but they can do so without telling them your name.

If I were you I would just go to my doctor and have them run the tests its very simple and you get the results in like 3-5 days its better safe than sorry because a lot of these sti's have serious health risks if they're not treated.

I agree with loaded. I would go to the doctor. There are a lot of stds out there, and they can all take different amounts of time to show symptoms, if they ever show any at all! Some of them are very dangerous too. So better than sorry. You should also get tested soon to make sure you do not give your girlfriend anything.
