Side effects of masturbation can include mechanical injury (if the action is too rough) as well as urethral syndrome (excessive non-infective discharge from the urethra). Nothing irreplaceable is lost with masturbation. The testicles and added glands (prostate, seminal vesicles and urethral glands) will create more sperm.
