Herpes Yeast Infection?
Posted: 01-31-07 18:30pm

Anyone who know or had experience before please help me, the pain is killing me badly.

I had been dating this guy for 2months and had a weekend getaway last weekend.(thur-sun). This is the 1st time we had sex with each other (we both had partners before). He was very rough and I felt bruised at my clit, rectrum, gential areas. I also felt sore(well, we had 10times in 3days). Intial 1-3times, condoms are used because i'm still having my period(about 4th day of period) and no condoms was used after that. The topic of whether he has herpes or not was never brought up. I'm not sure when's his last sex is but mine is about 1 year ago.

On sunday, I felt really sore in my gential areas, alittle itching starts to occur around my vulva area. I didn't really care much and of cos starts scratching. On monday, I realise there's alot of discharge, like starchy yellowish and they harden up on my underwear. I didn't sleep well on sunday nite and catch a cold, feeling feverish when I walk up.

Itching increases on monday, the discharge is frequent with the same color and I find it difficult to walk cos its sore around the vulva area. I must have subconsciouly scratch very hard while sleeping on monday night.

On tue morning, when I walk up and pee, I felt like 10000knives slashing my gential area. The discharge is still as much and freqently. I cant even sit, stand walk normally, every single moment I make hurts. I decided to see a doctor. She said it could be thrust or herpes. She took some swab test. Results will only come on friday for thrust and next week for herpes. She prescribe canesten cream+ 1 day treatment, which I use on tueday nite. She said she noticed no blisters or uclers but there is redness and sore on the vulva. She also noticed some redness around the rectum area and clit area. She took test for herpes just in case and ask me to monitor my situation. On tue night, I noticed a little white bump on my vulva area. There's no more itching on tuesday. I did intensive searching for yeast infection and herpes on the internet and found my symptons match the yeast infection quite closely. Except for the discharge, i'm not sure whats cottage cheese like but my discharge is yellowish and hardens when it drys up. Its starchy like. One of the cause of yeast infection is caused by antibodies, and I had been taking antibodies since last nov for my face(outbreaks), so this could cause the yeast infection.

On wed morning, I noticed more white bumps appearing, peeing still hurts alot when the urine touches the sore areas. I took alot of cranberry juice and yoghurt as it was recommended on websites that it may help. No itching was experience today, only soreness. The feeling is like rubbing salt on open wounds. Out of no where, I had dirreaor in the afternoon and that hurts like hell. Everytime urine touches the valua, when I walk, sit, stand, move alittle, it hurts badly. Towards the evening time, I felt sorness at my rectum. The feeling is like I just had constipation. This became to worry me alot. I could see red bumps like ucles around my rectum area and white bumps like big pimples on my valva area. When I run my finger on it, it felt uneven, so its definately bumps. I'm still continueing to use the canesten cream on my valva area. No itching anymore.

Thursday morning. The pain did not ease, it is still as painful as wednesday., one thing I noticed is that if I shower in warm water, when the water passes my valva it doesn't hurt, no pain. But when I pee it stings alot. For the 1st 1-3secs it doesn't hurt, but when the urine touches the sores, it hurts badly. This is very worrying because of these bumps, its a symptoms for herpes. Until now, I didn't confront my bf because I do not want to jump into conclusion, it could be very serious yeast infection and those bumps could be boils. I can't tell the difference anyway by looking. I rang my doctor but she's not working today. I can only wait till tomorrow to know the thrust results.

I tried to be as detailed as possible in my description hoping someone here with the experience or medicial background can provide me some information. This is the 1st time I ever experience such pain. Please help if you can. Thanks alot. Very much appreciated.

Yikes. That sounds awful. Well, you certainly have something. Even your doctor had to perform tests, however. So, sadly, we can't diagnose you over the internet, medical backgrounds or not. You'll have to wait for those tests. Good for you for getting right on it and going to the doctor. Too many women are afraid to go and just sit at home and wait.

I would probably be honest with the boyfriend, and say something like, "i have something. I am not sure what it is yet, but we should refrain from having sex, at least until I get my test results." he could have something without knowing it. A lot of people are walking around with stuff that they don't even know about because they don't have any symptoms.

I do not know if there is anything that you can do to ease your pain in the meantime. Be careful of over the counter yeast infection products. Most doctors do not recommend that women use them unless they have been diagnosed with a yeast infection by a doctor. A lot of women try to self-diagnose and take the otc yeast infection meds, but not all of them have yeast infections. Symptoms of yeast infections can also be symptoms of other things, as you know.

In the future with other relationships, use condoms until you both get tested. If you have herpes, it will be with you for the rest of your life, and there are stds that are a lot more serious than herpes. So be safe and careful. Good luck to you.

Hello llewellyn
thanks for replying. I do understand that the test results is always the source of answer rather than forums like this. This is just a channel for me to ease my worries, its worth a try, someone may have the same experience as well. Seeking some help online is better than sitting around waiting for results. But thanks again, for your kind reply.Appreciate it.

New discovery for the afternoon- one of the red pimples/blisters/ucles (i can't tell the difference!!!) is bleeding, so it got stuck to my pantyliners, I had to pull it off and it hurts damn bad. So one bleeding case found. Also, I noticed the discharge now is slightly different. Its like yellowish egg-white. No more itch for now. Discharge is still frequent. And of cos I still had heaps of difficult sitting, standing, walking, basically any movement that involves the lower half. Think I walk the same speed as a grandma. Can confirm now that it doesn't hurt when I pee (so that rules out that urine infection) but when the pee touches the sores.

I was wondering should I put those tiny plasters on the bleeding sore to prevent it from been stuck to my pantyliners all the time.

I really hate wearing underwear at this time, but if I don't wear, the discharge will just drip, but if I wear, it will keep rubbing against those sores. No body should go to work at times like this.

Evening observation
the discharged has lessen. And there's slight bleeding from the sores, sticking to my pantyliner. No visible blood stains but pinkish stains on pantyliner.

At nite when I check in the mirror, I noticed alot of alot of sores, red and white color all over my valvu and on my clits and 2 on my rectrum. I do feel giddy once in a while, seems like its cause from the painful sores and though I have no temperature, I feel warm. Please advice whether I have herpes.

What happens when you first get herpes?

Symptoms of herpes usually develop within 2 to 20 days after contact with the virus, although it could take longer. These symptoms may last up to several weeks, varying from one person to the next. In many people, the first infection is so mild that it goes unnoticed. In others, the first attack causes visible sores. Even so, subsequent recurrences of the disease may cause lesions. When the sores are completely healed, the active phase of infection is over. Healing of the skin usually leaves no scars. In either case, the virus retreats into the nervous system and lies dormant.

Typical symptoms

the virus starts to multiply when it gets into the skin cells. The skin becomes red and sensitive, and soon afterward, one or more blisters or bumps appear. The blisters first open, and then heal as new skin tissue forms. During a first outbreak, the area is usually painful and may itch, burn or tingle. Flu-like symptoms are also common. These include swollen glands, headache, muscle ache or fever. Herpes may also infect the urethra, and urinating may cause a burning sensation.

Hope this helps
