Hi! I am having really bad morning sickness(really all day sickness). I got those sea-band wrist bands and a new prenatal that is supposed to be for morning sickness. Do you guys have any other suggestions????
In the morning I can't even function and I can't miss work!!!

I had horrible morning sicknessfor my first tri, I was put on diclectin for it. So if it gets really bad and you start losing weight, ask your doc about that.

But some things that helped me:

-don't drink anything for at least half an hour before trying to eat anything.
-lifesavers. Carry those and gum in your purse at all times for those "uh oh, i'm in public" moments
-small meals, small bites (when I could eat)
-crackers-without salt, cause they'll just dehydrate you more if you can't keep liquid down.

I hear ya...The morning sickness can be horrible. I am 11 weeks preggo and still dealing with it. Here is what I have done to cope....
-eat a piece of dry toast before stepping foot out of bed in the morning (my husband leaves it by the bed before he leaves for work)
-very small, frequent meals.
-peppermint seems to have a soothing effect, so stock up on peppermint candy
-i also talked to my doctor and she prescribed reglan. It has helped with the vomiting, but not so much with the nauseous feeling.
-if you are on prenatals, try taking them at a different time. I started out taking mine with breakfast; I now take it with dinner or a snack right before going to bed, that has helped a little too. Or you may even talk to your doctor about changing the kind of prenatal you are on. Sometimes it's just the vitamin itself that makes you sick.

Good luck to you and I hope the morning sickness passess soon.

Hi, thanks! I had another question. I have been using the wrist bands for 2 days and am taking a different vitamin with more b6, and it seems as though it is better. But did you all have days that were just better than others? I can't tell if the symptom is decreasing or if the new stuff is helping! And since I am a neurotic I think bad things!
What do you think??

I did have days where I felt better than others. Hang in there though, it does get better; at least it did for me. I still have some bad days, but the good days are starting to out number the bad. I don't know about the wristbands, I never did try them. But if it seems to be working, keep using them!!!! Laughing
