I have had a kidney infection about once every three months since I was 17 (i am now 34). I have been having strange symptoms this time around, and not sure if it is a kindey infection again, or something to do with the lump I found previously.

I have had severe burning pain in my bladder, and a cramping pain in my kidney for 4 days now. But, it comes and goes. It will be there all night, irritating and then gone in the morning, and then back in the afternoon. I have no pain when I pee, and my urine isnt cloudy. Just the pains. Any ideas?

I think you will want to see your doctor soon on this one.
With the number of uti's you have had over 17 years, your doctor has probably already mentioned potential scarring that can occur in bladder and kidney. The pain might be related to that, but if your urine is clear and color is good, it could another infection or some other cause. Either way, it's obviously causing you concern, and that will affect your healing and wellness, also.

By the way, once you have healed from this, if you're interested in a homeopathic approach to chronic utis, you can try making this tea. The native americans used these teas for years for treating a host of "women's issues", including menstrual complaints and utis. It worked for me, and I had had chronic uti's for 6 years. Haven't had one is 13 years now. Good luck! All the best for your good health.

This tea is bitter!!! (but worth it)try using some honey to make it more palatable. Use organic loose leaf tea (can get at any health store): use equal parts slippery elm bark, black cohosh and burdock root in a tea infuser. Brew as a hot tea and drink three cups/day. I did this for 30 days. Now I have one cup every day. I am uti free (and now that i'm 48 and menopausal, it helps with hot flashes and night sweats, too.) Wink
